Acinetobacter pittii is a Gram-negative, oxidase-negative, catalase-positive, strictly aerobic nonmotile bacterium from the genus Acinetobacter.[3][4] A. pittii belongs to the Acinetobacter calcoaceticus-baumannii complex and is named after the British microbiologist Tyrone Pitt.[4][5][6]
