Acharykulam is a school based on Vedic-cum-modern education near Patanjali Yogpeeth, Haridwar. Its a residential educational institution.[1] It was inaugurated on 26 April 2014 by former Chief Minister of Gujrat Mr. Narendra Modi. This organization is jointly governed by Indian Yoga guru Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna.[2]

Accreditation

A school based on Vedic-cum-modern education, Patanjali Yogpeeth Trust’s Acharyakulam Shikshan Sansthanam is affiliated to CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). It offers education to students from grades 5th to 12th.[3]

Purpose

Baba Ramdev’s main aim behind opening Acharyakulam is to promote Vedic education and Indian culture. At present the number of English-medium schools has increased drastically. In the society respect for each other has decreased. Keeping all this in mind Baba Ramdev established Acharyakulam. He believes this will not only protect our Indian culture but it will also help in promoting of ancient vedic knowledge to our new generation. Baba Ramdev's next aim is to establish Acharyakulam in every district of the country. Its not that only vedic education is given in acharyakulam, rather along with vedic education and yoga education, student are also given the knowledge of modern education.[4] [5]
