Acanthodactylus mechriguensis is a species of lizard in the Lacertidae family. It is endemic to Tunisia.[1]

Habitat

Its natural habitat is sandy shores.[1]

Conservation status

It is threatened by habitat loss.[1]

Taxonomy

Fonseca et al. (2008), as well as Sindaco & Jeremčenko (2008), do not consider Acanthodactylus mechriguensis to be a valid species, but instead to be a synonym of Acanthodactylus maculatus.[2][3]
