Abner Pastoll (born February 12, 1982) is a British film director, screenwriter, and editor, born in South Africa, where his family used to own a two-screen cinema.[1]

Background

Abner started making films at the age of 4, inspired primarily by his family's cinema, and his father's film and video equipment. He originally thought he wanted to become an actor, but soon discovered he preferred being behind the camera. He grew up in London.[1]

Career

His directorial work includes the feature films Shooting Shona (2004), Dead Man's Dream (2002), and the short films The Caves (2014), Me or the Dog (2011) starring Edward Hogg, A Great Mistake (2010) and Homicide: Division B (2008). He is the co-founder of production company February Films, which he runs with producer Junyoung Jang (co-producer of Korean film The Host).

In 2014, he will shoot his long-awaited new feature film Road Games [2](aka Fausse Route), which has been described as a suspense thriller, and is expected for release in 2015.
