Abatos

Abatos, also Abaton, was a rocky island in the Nile, Egypt near Philae, where the Egyptian priests alone were permitted to enter. Abatos was mentioned by both Seneca^[1] and Lucan.^[2] The name was later used by astronomers for a plateau on the moon Triton.
