Aaron Joseph McGowan is an English professional footballer who plays for Morecambe.
Career
McGowan began his career with Morecambe and made his professional debut on 20 April 2013 in a 2–0 defeat against Torquay United, becoming the club's youngest ever debutant.
McGowan came on as a substitute for Chris McCready on 1 January 2014 Vs York City FC after impressing manager Jim Bentley.
In an interview Bentley see's McGowan as a prospect for the future of the club and the next big thing to come out of the lower leagues. McGowan was described as a Strong, Robust Attack minded player who loves a challenge. McGowan was the youngest player to play in the Football League in the 2012-2013 season at 16 Years and 6 Months old.
McGowan played Vs Bury in a 0-0 draw in April.
On 19 May 2014 McGowan signed new two-year deal at the Globe Arena and was described as one of the "Fab Four" as 3 others also signed 2 year extensions on this night. In a post interview McGowan was named Fearless by manager Bentley[2]
On 28 March 2015, McGowan scored his first professional career goal in an away game at Exeter City. The game finished 1-1.[3]
