Aaraama Dravidulu

Dravidulu is a sub-caste of the Telugu Brahmins of Andhra Pradesh in South India. There are several castes of Dravida Brahmins who originated from Dravida Brahmin of South India. They belong to Pancha Dravida Brahmins. During the reign of Raj Raja Narendra of Thanjavur (Tanjore) Tamil Nadu, a few of these families settled in Dimili and in Konaseema. They are primarily categorized as the Saiva Brahmins or followers of Lord Shiva [1][2][3]

The Saiva Brahmins reside in the East Godavari, West Godavari, Visakha, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts of Andhra Pradesh, though they can be found all over Andhra Pradesh and other parts of India. They are the Brahmins who migrated from the state of Tamil Nadu into Andhra Pradesh a few centuries ago. Dravidulu who settled in different parts of Andhra Pradesh are named after the places in which they settled. Examples of these locations are Pudur Dravidulu, Konaseema Dravidulu, Peda Dravidulu and Dimili Dravidulu.
