Aafreen Rachel Vaz is a model and beauty pageant titleholder. She was crowned Femina Miss India Supranational 2015 on March 28, 2015 at Yash Raj Studios, Mumbai. She will now represent India at Miss Supranational 2015.[1][2][3]
Early life and education
Vaz was born in Auckland, New Zealand to Indian parents on 23 December 1990. She is a student of medicine at A J Institute of Medical Science, Mangaluru. Vaz is one of the very few Miss India's who were medical student during their reign, like Reita Faria - Miss World 1966, Kalpana Pandit-dethroned Femina Miss India 1989 and Lakshmi Pandit-dethroned Femina Miss India 2004.
Career and pageantry
She is a successful model and a medical student. In 2010, she participated New Zealand's Next Top Model (cycle 2) and was eliminated in the fourth episode.Later in 2015, she participated in Campus Princess 2015 and was declared the eventual winner. After winning Campus Princess she got a direct entry to the Femina Miss India 2015 contest and was crowned Femina Miss India Supranational 2015. She also won Miss Congeniality award at the said pageant. She will now represent India at Miss Supranational 2015.
