ASO 1. Organize Sanayi Bölgesi is an Organized Industrial Zone located in Sincan, Ankara, Turkey.[1]

History

ANKARA CHAMBER OF INDUSTRY which has decided that an Organised Industrial Zone is necessary for Ankara against a portrait created by the plants which does not fit into the areas where they exist as a result of developments and which has heaped up in various locations of the city in a disconnected manner devoid of sufficient infrastructure ; has been the first institution which has firstly started these studies.

By means of the protocol signed in 1978 for the purpose of the establishment of Ankara Organized Industrial Zone, a 4.147.980 m² area has been selected which is 25 km away from the city centre and the infrastructure operations has started in 1981st A part with an area of 175.487 m² has been allocated for social facilities, an area of 1.025.000 m² has been allocated for green spaces and 2.104.955 m² has been allocated for parcels of industrial plants.

The management of the zone has been being performed by Council of Ankara Chamber of Industry which is a constitution of entrepreneurs. For that purpose, there is a Management Council consisting of 5 people and professional cadres under this management. These personnel are equipped with the necessary tools and they perform the construction, reparation-maintenance as well as the operation of all of the infrastructure plants of the Zone. Also besides the industrialists of our Zone, we have the accredited ACI KOSGEB (SMIDO) (ACI – Small and Medium Industry Development Organization-SMIDO) environmental laboratory which gives service for both Ankara and the entire Turkey.

Ankara Chamber of Industry 1st Organised Industrial Zone (ACI 1st OIZ) which is one of the most correct examples of civilization, not only makes a great participation to the economy of the country, but also is one of the most important and civilized organized industrial zones of our country with the facilities provided by it for the industrialists on the areas such as transportation, infrastructure, communication, energy distribution and maintenance service.

In the Zone which is situated on an area of 575 hectares, 268 pieces of industrial plant take place. While our Zone continues its activities in the first stage on an area of 400 hectares with 197 industrial plant on it and with employees of about 20. 000, the operations for our development area of 175 hectares have been started in the year 2005 upon the new investment demands and it has been completed in such a short period as one year, in the year 2006.
