K12 is the first microarchitecture based on the ARMv8-A (AArch64) instruction set under development by AMD estimated to be released in 2016.[1]
It will be based on the GlobalFoundries/Samsung 14 nm FinFET manufacturing process.[2] The microarchitecture will focus on high frequency and power efficiency and will target the dense server, embedded and semi-custom market segments.[3]
