AEgis Technologies is a company in Huntsville, Alabama that creates 3-D models and simulations for military and civilian applications.[1]

The company was founded by Bill Waite and Steve Hill and first worked out of Waite's basement.[2] The company is primarily an aerospace defense contractor specializing in geospacial technology.[3] It also makes military simulation video games and provided 3-D models of Olympic venues for both security forces and media outlets including NBC during the Beijing Olympics, Vancouver Olympics, and London Olympics.[4][5]

In 2012, AEgis Technologies won the Small Business of the Year award and the President and CEO, Steve Hill, was awarded the Russell G. Brown Executive Leadership Award for excellence in leadership and entrepreneurship.[6] The company was also nominated as one of the Top 20 Best Places to Work in 2012 by the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce.[7]
