A1 basketball league (Albania)

The A1 is the first of the two Albanian basketball leagues comprising 6 teams. The second league is called the B2, also comprising 6 teams.

Overview

Since 1992, the Albanian Basketball League has had twelve clubs, divided in two divisions with six teams each, the A1 league and the B2 league. The bottom clubs from the A1 league gets relegated to B2 league while the top clubs from B2 league get promoted to the A1 league. The first champions of the A1 league are 17 Nentori while the first winners of the B2 league are Adelin Pogradec. Current champions of the A1 League are SK Tirana while from the B2 league the winners are KS Skenderbeu Korce.
