The A171 is a road in England that links the North Yorkshire towns of Middlesbrough and Scarborough.^[1] Locally it is known as The Moor Road.

It takes the following route

starts at Middlesbrough, heads south
turns east at Nunthorpe
past Guisborough
through North York Moors National Park (forming its boundary at first)
Whitby
Burniston
Scarborough

The route is served by Arriva bus service 93 and X61.^[2]
