The A171 is a road in England that links the North Yorkshire towns of Middlesbrough and Scarborough.[1] Locally it is known as The Moor Road.
It takes the following route
- starts at Middlesbrough, heads south
- turns east at Nunthorpe
- past Guisborough
- through North York Moors National Park (forming its boundary at first)
- Whitby
- Burniston
- Scarborough
The route is served by Arriva bus service 93 and X61.[2]
