A. P. Jayasuriya ( - 1980) was Sri Lankan politician. He was a former Cabinet Minister of Health, Senator & Member of Parliament. He was one of the founders of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP).[1][2]

Political career
Jayasuriya entered State Council of Ceylon thereafter he was elected to the first parliament of independence for the seat of Horana and was serving as Junior Minister of Cultural Affairs in 1951 he crossed over to the opposition with S. W. R. D. Bandaranaike to form the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.[3]
