A-One (Alternative One) is a Russian music channel, broadcasting since 2005. Its main format is hip hop music.

Channel was launched on August 1, 2005, as an alternative rock music channel. In 2011 A-One was rebranded to hip hop music channel. It is available through cable and satellite translation in most of Russia's cities, and has online translation.

A-One is also the name of channel-owned record label, that publishes music in the vein of A-One playlist. A-One Records artists include Tracktor Bowling, Naiv, Animal Jazz, 7000$, 5 Diez.

RAMP

A-One awards both local and international bands with its annual prize, the Russian Alternative Music Prize (since 2007 the official name is Rock Alternative Music Prize, due to broadened format). Nominees are voted by Internet users on the award site. Ceremony is held with participation of nominated bands.

To date, record of total awards in any nomination is held by Lumen (4), followed by Lyapis Trubetskoy and Amatory (3 each).

The only award to feature genre nominations. This experiment was abandoned next year.

RAMP 2007

Award changed its name to Rock Alternative Music Prize. Website prize replaced with "respect of Runet", presented to the artist which was most requested in search engines at the year.
