9947 Takaishuji is a main belt asteroid. It orbits the Sun once every 3.56 years.[2]
Discovered on August 17, 1990 by E. F. Helin, it was given the provisional designation "1990 QB".[3] It was later renamed 9947 Takaishuji after Shuji Takai, a Japanese schoolteacher in Kuroishi.[4]
