8898 Linnaea (1995 SL5) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on September 29, 1995 by Gary P. Emerson at Golden, Colorado.[1][2][3]

He designed, built and used a fully functional observatory at his home in Boulder. From work done there he has not only published results in a wide variety of journals and periodicals, but discovered the only asteroid ever recorded from the state of Colorado.
