    8373 Stephengould (1992 AB) is an outer main-belt asteroid discovered on January 1, 1992 by Carolyn S. Shoemaker and Eugene Merle Shoemaker at Palomar.[1] The asteroid was named after the Harvard paleontologist Stephen Jay Gould.

    This is a member of the Griqua family of asteroids that share similar orbital elements.[3] It is one of very few asteroids located in the 2 : 1 mean motion resonance with Jupiter.[4]
