The 77th Infantry Battalion (Cadre),[1] known officially as 77th Cadre Battalion, is one of the battalions of the Philippine Army, which is organic to the 501st Infantry Brigade of the 5th Infantry "Star" Division. It is an infantry unit, and is one of the CAFGU units of the Philippine Army.[1]

The 77IB(C) specializes in Counter-insurgency Operations as well as Jungle warfare.

The unit is primarily composed of CAFGU militiamen, supervised by Philippine Army Regular Commissioned Officers and Non-commissioned officers.[1]
