5171 Augustesen (1987 SQ3) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on September 8, 1988 by P. Jensen at Brorfelde.
Photometric observations of this asteroid reported in 2007 show a lengthy rotation period of 474 ± 10 hours with a brightness variation of 0.8 magnitude. It appears to have a tumbling motion.[1]
