4422 Jarre (1942 UA) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on October 17, 1942 by Louis Boyer at Algiers. It is named after French composers Jean-Michel Jarre, (one of the pioneers in electronic music) and his father Maurice Jarre (film composer).
