3DLT is a Covington, Kentucky based 3D printing marketplace and startup company. 3DLT is a platform for 3D printing as-a-service that helps retailers offer 3D printable products online and in-store.[1] Users of 3DLT design and upload 3D printable files and 3DLT works to print and sell these products.

3DLT is a Covington, Kentucky based startup company. 3DLT was started in 2012 as a place to upload and buy 3D printable files. In August 2013, 3DLT applied to the UpTech accelerator program and was accepted. UpTech provides companies access to resources, connections, and tools during the start-up process.[2]

History and background

In December 2014, 3DLT signed a licensing agreement with Big Tent Entertainment to design, sell and manufacture 3D printed products based on the character Domo-kun.[3]

In December 2014, 3DLT launched it's Rakuten store of 3D printable products ranging from fashion jewelry to home decor and tech accessories.

In June 2014, 3DLT was a participant in the Dark Horse Competition in Silicon Valley. The event is sponsored by Beijing-based Founder Media, and is an opportunity for select entrepreneurs to connect with Chinese investors.[4]

In May, 2014 3DLT and PieceMaker Technologies announced plans to collaborate, sharing content, technology and in-store marketing and production.[5][6][7][8][9]

In summer of 2014, 3DLT partnered with Amazon.com as a new pilot program in their new 3D printing category. 3DLT is the first company to offer 3D printed products on the world’s largest e-commerce website, Amazon.[10][11][12][13]

In February 2014, 3DLT partnered with Authentise to stream its 3D files to customers.[14]

In 2014, 3DLT named John Hauer CEO.[15]

In 2013, 3DLT was named an “Innovative World Technology” and was announced as competitor at the first annual SXSW V2V Conference.[16][17][18]

In the spring of 2013, 3DLT went to TechCrunch Disrupt, an inaugural technology conference in New York.[19][20]
