The 2nd Infantry Division of the Egyptian Army was a heavy infantry formation created after the Second World War.

In June 1967, the Egyptian 2nd Division comprised the 10th Infantry Brigade, the 12th Infantry Brigade and the 51st Artillery Brigade. It defended the central sector of the Sinai Front at Abu-Ageila and Kusseima during the Six Day War. The Division was defeated in the Second Battle of Abu-Ageila (1967).

It fought again during the Yom Kippur War as part of the Egyptian Second Army, and was one of the Egyptian divisions that took part in the successful crossing of the Suez Canal early in the war (Operation Badr), crossing in the Ismailia area.

The division was later reorganised as the 2nd Mechanised Division.
