    2612 Kathryn (1979 DE) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on February 28, 1979 by N. G. Thomas at Flagstaff (AM).

    Photometric observations of this asteroid collected during 2004–2005 show a rotation period of 7.7000 ± 0.0002 hours with a brightness variation of 0.43 ± 0.02 magnitude.[1]
