2612 is a television show that revolves around the planning of a terror plot. The story revolves around two characters – Shahana, a strong-willed woman whose aim is to make the 2612 mission a success and Rashmi, a simple kindergarten teacher, who unknowingly gets drawn into this plot. Randeep is the special task force agent who aids Rashmi in her endeavour to thwart the 2612 plot. The show was launched on 26 November 2012 and airs at 9 pm Mon–Fri on Life OK.2613 is the sequel to 2612, that started airing on 25 March 2013 at 9 pm Mon–Fri on Life OK.

Plot
Events leading to 26-Dec-2012
The series began with clips from the Lion King. During this, Jadda & Malik try to escape, but Malik leaves Jadda to die. The story then moves to November, 2012 where Malik is planning an attack on India. He then meets his sponsors and one of them sends his guy to accompany Malik & it turns out to be Jadda. They have a confrontation, but Malik accepts him in his team.
In Mumbai, the Bhargava family attends a wedding. Raju Bhargava is the head of the family. He has 2 daughters and a son. Elder daughter Ritika is married to Shantanu Sardesai, a scientist in London. They have a daughter Suchi. She is mad at her husband for not coming to the wedding or any other functions and demands a divorce. Son Rakesh is married to Malti and they have a son Mithoo. Youngest daughter Rashmi is in a relationship with Nishant. The entire is being monitored by a surveillance team. When Ritika, decides to leave suddenly for London, Rashmi drives her. When Rashmi gets stops for an ice-cream, Ritika is kidnapped and replaced with Meher, who looks like her. Back in London, Meher now meets Shantanu as Ritika and patches things up. Their daughter Suchi is then kidnapped from the school by Malik. When the ransom call is made, Meher as Ritika emotionally blackmails her husband to comply.
Malik then leaves for India after bidding goodbye to his pregnant wife, Shahana. Behind Malik's back, Jadda warns the Mumbai police. After they land in Mumbai, Jadda plants a gun on Malik. When the police, find it, Malik panics and attacks. During this, STF officer, Randeep shoots him dead. At the same time, Shahana gives birth to a baby girl. When she learns about Malik, she decides to take over the mission. When her father-in-law questions her dedication, she shoots her innocent domestic help to prove that she is ruthless. She flies to Mumbai and starts the mission with Jadda by her side.
Shantanu and his team has invented a new atom bomb, Nova 6 that is as small as a battery cell and undetectable in scans. Shahana asks Shantanu is asked to steal it along with the detonator and gives him a detailed plan. He is hesitant, but when Meher as Ritika tries to commit suicide, he does as Shahana says and steals the 312 bombs with the detonator and flies to Mumbai with it. On Shahana's instructions he hides the bombs in the bus stop locker, 2612 and the detonator in a pendant and takes it to a Pritamdas Jewelers, whose owner is Shahana's friend.
Meanwhile, Nishant proposes to Rashmi with a necklace and their parents meet to fix their marriage date. When Nishant's mother asks for dowry, Rashmi is outraged and asks them to leave. Her father and her brother are disheartened and decide to cheer her up by buying a pendant for her from Pritamdas Jewelers. Suchi is now in the care of Shahana's aide, Mastana, who is working in Pritamdas Jewelers. He is concerned about her and looks after her in-spite of Jadda's interference. He is also in love with a bar dancer, Rinky who insists that he marries her as soon as possible.
Rinky runs away from the bar to meet Mastana on the day Shantanu visits Pritamdas Jewelers. Raju & Rakesh also arrive at the same time. Pritamdas checks the pendant Shantanu brings and calls Shahana to verify. She arrives with Suchi. One of his assistants interrupt and by accident, the pendant gets exchanged and lands up in the showcase. Raju & Rakesh buy it for Rashmi and leave. Rinky arrives and steal a few jewels when no one is looking. One of them is a pendant that looks like the detonator. When Shahana finally arrives, she discovers that the original detonator pendant is gone. In a fit of rage she shoots the jeweler, takes the surveillance tapes and leaves with Suchi & Shantanu.
Mastana then manages to take Rinky to the train station and send her away to Agra, to his grandmother's place. He is spotted by one of Jadda's men at the platform, who has been sent by Jadda to plant a bomb on a local train. Raju & Rakesh are traveling by the train and talking to Rashmi when the bomb goes off, killing them both.
When Rashmi goes to identify the bodies, she meets Randeep who helps her with the formalities. Rashmi calls Ritika with the news. On Shahana's orders Meher arrives to Mumbai as Ritika to mourn her father's and brother's death. During the last rites, Randeep arrives at Rashmi's house with her brother's things, which includes the pendant. Throughout Ritika's stay, Malti & Rashmi see the changes in Ritika, but they attribute it to her distress. One day Rashmi even walks in on her while she is talking to Shahana, but she lies and distracts her.
At STF, Randeep heads the bomb blast case and starts investigation. He concludes that the train blast might just be a distraction for something very huge that's coming. He meets his informers and gets some leads. He meets the employees of Pritamdas jewelers and one of them mention seeing a man with a British passport. Randeep then gets the list of British citizen of Indian Origin who flew into Mumbai recently. Rashmi visits him to thank him and sees the list. She sees Shantanu in the list and tells him that its her brother-in-law. When Randeep tells her that its a list of people who flew to Mumbai recently, she is worried. When she asks Ritika, she claims that Shantanu had booked a ticket, but never flew. She assures her that it is a mistake. When Rashmi repeats this to Randeep he agrees, but he is not convinced. Finally when Shahana needs her, Meher as Ritika leaves abruptly telling all that she is going back home.
Meanwhile, Shahana is looking for the pendent. In the CCTV tapes, she sees Rinky stealing the pendant and starts looking for her. Mastana tries to talk Rinky into returning it, but she does not budge. Rinky starts to get along very well with Mastana's Naani. The rift between Mastana & Jadda keeps increasing and Jadda finally frames Mastana and Shahana loses her trust on him. To avenge, he escapes with Suchi. Shantanu starts asking for Suchi and threatens to kill himself. To calm him down, Shahana sends Meher as Ritika to meet him and she lies to him that she met Suchi and she is fine.
Randeep takes Pritamdas's employee to his office to identify the man from the list. Shahana gets this information and decides to kill him. She leaves her daughter in a hurry before the nanny arrives. The baby falls from the cot and gets hurt. The nanny takes the child to the hospital. Meanwhile, Shahana catches up with Randeep and succeeds in killing the witness. Randeep chases her and she shoots him to escape. Randeep is admitted to the same hospital. When Rashmi & Mithoo visit Randeep, they meet Shahana.
At STF, while Randeep is having a meeting with his superior about the plans, Shahana visits and introduces herself as Karuna Shikhawat, head of a NGO which wants to give Tablet Computers to underprivileged kids during the function on 26 December 2012. She gets the necessary assurances and leaves. She then fetches the bombs from the locker and asks a computer professional to install the Nova 6 cells inside the tablets, she indents to distribute. Jadda is furious with Shahana because he wants to recover the bombs and sell it, but Shahana keeps him in dark. Using his men, he tracks down Rinky in Agra. Meanwhile, Randeep's informers lead him to Mastana. To find him, he decides to go to Agra to meet his grandmother. Mastana also tries to escape to Agra with Suchi.
Back in Mumbai, Rashmi is contacted by Suchi's teacher in London. She tells Rashmi that Suchi hasn't been coming to school. Rashmi tries to contact Ritika or Shantanu, but she is unsuccessful. She starts to worry and calls Randeep for help. He tells her that he is on his way to Agra and will be back soon. Rashmi decides to investigate the whole thing herself. In Agra, the police are keeping an eye on Mastana's grandma's house. Rinky goes out to evaluate the value of the pendant she stole and Jadda visits Naani pretending to be Rinky's brother. After a while, when Rinky doesn't return, Jadda makes an excuse to enter the house and search. Naani catches him ransacking the house and he points a gun at her. Mastana warns Rinky about Jadda and she enters the house with the neighbors to make sure that she is safe. Jadda fires the gun in rage and the police attack. Randeep also joins them. A fight starts and everyone starts firing. Rinky gives Mastana the Pendent and he hands over Suchi to her and asks her to keep her safe. Jadda shoots Mastana and takes away the pendant.
Randeep takes Mastana to the hospital. There Mastana warns him that something is going to happen on 26 December. He also tells him that a professor from London is involved as his daughter is kidnapped. He also says that his wife is fake. Before Randeep can ask more, Mastana dies. Rinky escapes with Suchi. Randeep brings Naani back to Mumbai to take care of her. With the new information, Randeep concludes that the attack could be planned during the student's meet which the Chief Minister is also attending. He decides to increase the security for the event.
Shahana gets back her tablets from the computer professionals. One of them asks her about the cell, and she asks them to mind their own business. He gets suspicious and takes one for himself. He tries to find out what it is, but they are unable to understand it. They conclude that its something valuable and then decide to blackmail Shahana for money. She is furious and sends her men to track them. Shahana uses Shantanu to trace the device and asks him to activate the bomb in the lost tablet. She & Jadda also discover that the pendant they recovered was fake and that the detonator is still missing. She watches the CCTV tapes again and realizes that the real pendant was bought by Raju & Rakesh Bhargava.
Rashmi is curious to know what happened to her sister and tries to track her. She checks with her travel agent & her sister's email ID, but she is unable to get a proof that Ritika bought a ticket back to London. She asks for Nishant's help and he decides to help her. When Rashmi mentions that she once saw Ritika talking to a friend (Shahana), Nishant goes through her chat history to trace the friend. He uses some of his own tools and software and finds out that the friend's computer is at Lokhandwala, Andheri. He tries to hack into her computer to get information, but encounters a firewall and then a strange device connected to the computer. At this exact moment, Shantanu is using Shahana's computer to trace & activate the lost Nova 6 bomb. Rashmi sees Shantanu & Ritika through Shahana's webcam while wearing the pendant containing the detonator. Through the Webcam a connection gets established and the bomb gets activated. (You read it right, the webcam!!!!). Rashmi & Nishant decide to go to Andheri to meet them personally. While approaching the building she sees Shantanu coming out. He smiles at her first & then realizes the situation and runs away. Rashmi follows her and sees Shantanu get into a car. On the car mirror she sees Ritika sitting inside. Shantanu & Ritika leave leaving behind a very confused Rashmi.
After Shantanu is back in his room, Jadda visits him and tells him that Suchi is missing and Shahana is untrustworthy. Under interrogation Shantanu tells him that he put the bombs in a bus-stop locker. After a while Ritika (Meher) calls Shahana to tell him about all this, but Shantanu hears her. She realizes that Ritika (Meher) is fake and hurts her. He downloads the tracking software into her smart phone and escapes. Meanwhile, Shahana informs the police that Jadda can be found in the bus stop and Randeep surrounds and attacks him. Jadda manages to escape. He then goes to Shahana's house to confront her.
Rashmi goes back to the building and at the same time, Jadda goes upstairs and finds an empty house. The phone rings. Before Jadda can say something, one of his aide picks up the phone and the bomb explodes. Rashmi witnesses it and then walks away. She then realizes that she is late for taking the kids from her school to the student's meet. Nishant then decides to accompany her and she calls Randeep for an extra pass. Randeep assures her that he will arrange it.
Meanwhile, Shantanu finds the tablet and reaches the place where the blackmailers are hiding. Ritika gains conscience and starts to follow him. After a struggle, Shantanu manages to get the tablet and he flees towards the ocean. Meher follows him, but is arrested by the police. Shantanu escapes on a boat.
At the Student's meet Rashmi arrives with the kids and Randeep is monitoring the security arrangement. She bumps in an old blind man, who is actually Jadda in a disguise. She helps him when they walk inside. The police thinks that he is her friend and allows Jadda in without checking him. Rashmi & Nishant then meet Randeep. The gate security then realizes that he let the wrong man inside without checking. Randeep then takes Rashmi to the surveillance room to identify the old man. Jadda then removes his make up and plants a bomb in the car parking area. Randeep Starts to search the area and finds the bomb. He diffuses it and saves the day. Upstairs, Karuna Shikhawat (Shahana) is about to distribute the tablets when Randeep comes it and warns about the bomb. Every one tries to run away. During the commotion, Jadda comes it and shoots Shahana, when she tries to fetch the bag with the bombs. At the moment the Chief Minister is right behind her and everyone assumes that she saved his life. Randeep runs in, picks up Shahana and drives her to the hospital. At the same time, Shantanu is far into the sea when the Nova 6 bomb finally goes off, killing just Shantanu.
At this point the entire 2612 plan is revealed to the viewers. Shahana's plan if to give 12 students from each of the state (26 in all) a Tablet with a Nova 6 bomb, which will ensure that 312 bombs get spread across the country. They Shahana will detonate it and watch the whole country suffer.
Events after 26-Dec-2012
After the events on the 26th, Rashmi & Randeep are in the hospital to thank Karuna (Shahana) for her services. The whole city celebrates her. The relationship between Rashmi & Randeep starts to grow and she starts visiting him often. Naani also helps them express themselves. Randeep starts interrogating Ritika and she gives a testimony that Shantanu is a terrorist and she was only trying to stop him. Randeep is not convinced. He then remembers Mastana's words and realizes that Ritika is fake. During the interrogation he accuses Ritika of shooting at him and she blurts out that it is was Shahana who did that. This gives Randeep a lead and he starts looking for Shahana.
Rashmi goes to the police station to lodge a missing person complaint for Ritika & Shantanu. The police is rude to her and she walks away. She then talks to Randeep and he promises to help, but does not tell her about Shantanu's death or Ritika's arrest. Shahana is desperate to get the bombs back from the police and asks for the Chief Minister and his son's help, but she is unable to get it. When Shahana finds out that Meher is in police custody, she makes a plan to kill her.
Meanwhile at STF, a new RAW office joins the team to investigate the 2612 case, Officer Anand Swami (Jadda). Randeep is not very comfortable with this development, but he agrees. Randeep decides to go back to the beginning and asks for the CCTV footage of Malik's death. Shahana visits Randeep to thank him and plant a bug in his office. She then starts a small fire in the store room and sneaks in to Meher's room and injects an air bubble into her blood stream and steals the CD with Airport CCTV footage. After the fire is extinguished, the doctor reveal that Meher has gone into a state of coma. Everyone blames Randeep's harsh interrogations, but Anand Swami defends him and finds the syringe which was used for injecting the air bubble. Randeep then discovers that the CCTV footage is missing. Back home Shahana sees the video and discovers that Randeep was the one who killed Malik. She vows revenge. She decides to ruin Rashmi to get back at Randeep, so she befriends Rashmi and asks her to join her NGO. Rashmi gladly agrees and decides to use her school children to put write a play against terrorism. Randeep and Anand Swami start investigation and during one of their meetings, Randeep accidentally discovers the listening device under his desk. He & Swami stages a false conversation and give the device for analysis. Shahana who is listening on the other end suspects this and switches off her phone. On the day of the play, Shahana picks up Rashmi from her building and drives her to the location. On the way, she slips the phone connected to the listening device into Rashmi's bag. When the crime team finally traces and phone & calls it, it rings from Rashmi's bag and she is arrested.
While in the jail, Rashmi is rudely interrogated by Anand Swami and Randeep tries his best to help, and finally succeeds in getting Swami off her case. He then plants a device on Swami to prove that she was framed. Meanwhile, Shahana visits Rashmi's house to meet Malti and sees Raju & Rakesh's photos there. She recognizes them as the people who bought the pendant containing the detonator. She immediately rushes and asks the CM to bail out Rashmi. Rashmi finally gets out and while her personal items are being returned to her, Swami sees her pendant and takes it away after lying to her that he needs for some final formalities. Rashmi is very grateful to Shahana for bailing her out and starts to trust her even more, Randeep starts to doubt her and drops by her house to look for evidence. He then investigates Karuna Shikhawat's background and discovers that she was an old woman who was killed in a hit-and-run accident. He doubts that the "Karuna" he knows is Shahana and arrests her. When the CM hears of it, he personally comes and bails her out. After this incident, the tension between Shahana & Randeep increases.
Meanwhile, Swami bribes the in-charge doctor and asks him to kill Meher. Randeep's research team tells him that they found a picture of Shahana. He looks at in excitedly, but it's the picture of Malik & Ritika in their wedding attire. Rashmi meets Randeep to ask for his help to find her sister & her family and he promises to help. While they are talking, Swami casually arrives and tells him that Ritika is dead. Rashmi hears it, gets furious with Randeep and leaves. Randeep is blamed for the custodial death and suspended from the case. He is transferred Airport security. Shahana tries her best to somehow get the pendant from Rashmi. She invites her for dinner and ransacks her house, but is unable to find it. She gets very frustrated and her father-in-law is disappointed that the 2612 plan is going nowhere. He threatens to get someone to replace her. She gets mad at him and shoots him down. She then decides to speed up the process by getting more aggressive. She sends her daughter and the nanny to Landon.
Randeep meanwhile meets Rashmi to explain himself. He partially tells her about whats going on and assures that the dead woman is a fake. He also shows her the picture of Meher & Malik. He then asks her if she is willing to get involved and help him. She agrees and decides to trust Randeep again. Randeep then meets one of his trusted informers and sends out a message that he has the NOVA 6 bombs and he is willing to sell. Shahana meets the new man who her father-in-law knew and joins hands. He tells her about the information he received and flies down to Mumbai with Ritika to get the bombs. He has a crush on Shahana and she manipulates him to get the bombs for her. Randeep then sends Rashmi to meet the buyer. Randeep accompanies her in disguise. Swami follows him to collect evidence to prove to his superior that Randeep is still working on the case. Rashmi gets caught when the buyer discovers that Rashmi is lying and decides to kill her. Randeep comes in the last minute and saves her life. After the incident, Rashmi tells Randeep that her things are still with Swami and asks him to get it for her. When Shahana's friend meets her & tells her that Randeep almost caught him, she gets angry with him and shoots him.
Swami meets his RAW boss and assures him that he is very close to getting the bomb, but does not turn in the detonator he holds. He instead hides it in a special compartment in his office. Randeep starts thinking about the case and realizes that Shahana is looking for something that Rashmi has. He also remembers Rashmi telling him about the buyer's comment about a small detonator. He concludes that the detonator is probably in Rashmi's pendant. He goes to STF to look for Rashmi's things. He then discovers that Swami has the pendant and follows him. He finally gets hold of the pendant and finds the detonator. Swami discovers that the pendant is gone and suspects Randeep.
Swami goes and meets Shahana with an offer. He confronts her about her failure to get the detonator or the bomb and offers his services to help her. She is angry at first, but finally agrees. They make a deal to work together and split the bombs 50–50 among themselves when the bombs & detonator is finally recovered. Shahana decides to use Ritika to get to the pendant. She sends Rashmi a tape with a threat and asks for the pendant and a warning not to tell Randeep. She gets very scared and asks Randeep for the pendant. He suspects something but gives her the pendant with a GPS tracker chip in it. He then follows her to see what she is up to. Rashmi meets the blackmailers and gives them the pendant. They then send Ritika to her with a bomb in her jacket. Randeep interferes at the last moment and removes the jacket off Ritika and pushing Rashmi away. The bomb goes off. In the commotion, the kidnappers take away Ritika. Shahana checks the pendent & detects the GPS chip. She get annoyed and flees with Ritika. Rashmi gets mad with Randeep for spoiling everything and storms away.
Randeep then calms Rashmi and explains to her that the pendant had a detonator of very powerful bombs. She finally understands and puts her country above her family. The next morning, Randeep meets Shahana in a beach and promises her that he will find Ritika within 24 hours. Randeep & Rashmi return to the place where Ritika was being held and look for clues. Randeep finds the pendant that Shahana threw out and returns to Rashmi. Rashmi finds a match box belonging to a hotel. They drive to the hotel and start seeing the CCTV tapes. They finally find Ritika and a man leaving. The hotel staff tells them that they checked-out and left in a taxi. Randeep then uses his contacts to track down the taxi driver. Shahana keeps sending messages to Randeep reminding him that his 24 hours is expiring. When Randeep asks the taxi driver he finally admits that he remembers the couple. He tells them that they got off at the Juhu dock-yard and he tells them that he heard the word, "Sea Queen". Randeep googles and finds a few "See Queen"s in Juhu. Randeep & Rashmi split up and start looking. They don't find anything. When Randeep teases Rashmi that she is slow, she tells him that his batch is helpful & she can't do that. Finally Randeep realizes that Sea Queen could be a boat. They go back to the dock and ask for a boat named "Sea Queen". Some people there harass Rashmi. Randeep is about to remove his batch, but decide not to and fights them. He then takes another boat to decided to find the Sea Queen. They keep driving and end up very close to the border. The captain refuses to cross the border, but Randeep forces him to and they reach the boat and they find Ritika there. Randeep finds some bombs there. He defuses them and takes Ritika & Rashmi to safety.
Back home, Malti is shocked to see Ritika's condition. Randeep gets a doctor to look at her. Meanwhile, Shahana realizes that Randeep saved Ritika and sends a sniper to kill Ritika. At Rashmi's house, the Sniper tries to get a good shot at Ritika, but he keeps missing. Finally when he shoots, it hits the doctor's briefcase. Randeep gets alert and switches off all the light. They all pack in the dark and escape. The killers enter the house and find it empty. Shahana learns of this and shoots the sniper in anger. Randeep takes Rashmi's family to his home. They spend the night there. In the morning, Swami uses Randeep's brawl at the dock and the captain’s testimony to get Randeep in trouble. Shahana visits Randeep and sees Rashmi there. Randeep sends her away and decides to get police help. He calls his superior for help, but he is asked to come to STF immediately. He gives Rashmi his gun and goes to STF. Meanwhile, Shahana visits again. She tells Rashmi about a doctor who can help and sends Rashmi out to get the doctor. While outside, Randeep calls her and when he learns of this he asks her to run back home. At the same time, due to his crossing the border illegally and threatening a captain, he is arrested and taken away. Swami calls Shahana and informs her that Randeep is out of her way now. Rashmi rushes home and discovers that her entire family is missing. She panics and calls Randeep, but his phone is switched off. She then goes to STF to meet him. There she realizes that Randeep has been arrested. She meets Swami and asks him to help.
Rashmi is totally confused, when Shahana calls her and tells her that her family is safe and she was just trying to help. Rashmi is relieved and goes to meet them. There she realizes that the Karuna she trusts is actually Shahana Malik, a terrorist and her family is now under her "care". She then asks Rashmi to do as told to get her family back. Rashmi realizes that she has no choice and decides to obey. Randeep is sent to a prison cell. In the nearby cell, the prisoner recognizes him and thanks him for rehabilitating his family after his arrest. He tells Randeep that he has contacts and he is willing to help. Randeep asks for a mobile phone. Meanwhile, Rashmi is sent to meet a man in the fish market & ask for a phone. She meets the guy as directed and asks for a phone. The man recognizes her and takes her to a new place. Meanwhile, Randeep finally manages to get a phone and calls Rashmi. She is takes the call and Randeep assures her that he will find a way to help her. Rashmi deceivingly conveys to Randeep that she is going to Sanpada. Randeep talks to her cell-mate and he tells him that Sanpada is known for making fake passports. Rashmi reaches Sanpada and there is a photographed. She objects, but is unable to do anything else. Then a fake passport is made with Rashmi's photo and the name, Shahana Malik.
Rashmi returns and demands that her family be released, but Shahana sends her away and warns her that she is not supposed to tell anyone. Shahana makes sure that she is followed and Rashmi feels cornered. Back in the prison, Randeep fakes a heart-attack to go to the hospital, Swami suspects a foul play and goes with Randeep. One of Randeep's friends asks Rashmi to come to the hospital at 4. She reaches there, but Shahana finds out and asks her to leave. Randeep sees her, but does not attempt to meet her. He goes to the rest room and makes a video call to her. Randeep tells Rashmi that he understands Shahana's plan. He asks her to stay with Shahana and try to find-out all her plans. He also asks her to record anything she can to use as a proof later. He also asks her to find someone outside to help her. Randeep then returns to prison. Swami is happy that Randeep could not do anything, but Randeep assures him that he has managed to do what he wanted.
Rashmi then receives a package from Shahana with clothes in it. Rashmi wears it and meets a man Shahana sends and she is asked to record a video where Rashmi introduces herself as Shahana and declares to the world that she will destroy India on 24 March when bombs will blast in all the 26 states. Rashmi then keeps this video safe. Shahana then sends her to meet the CM's son as Shahana and interview him. There Rashmi writes him a letter explaining everything and tries to slip it to him, but fails. In prison, Randeep makes an attempt to escape, but the plan fails. Mithoo falls sick and Rashmi begs that Shahana gets a doctor. She agrees. The doctor gives Mithoo some medicines and he asks Rashmi whats going on? She thinks that she can trust him and gives him the letter she wrote. Rashmi goes to work and tries to talk to her head mistress, but "Karuna" walks in. Shahana then takes away Rashmi's old phone and gives her a new phone. Rashmi walks out and sees Swami. She then meets him and tells him everything. Swami promises to help. After Rashmi leaves, he calls Shahana and tells her that he has some information that she might be interested in.
After the attempted escape, Swami decides that keeping Randeep in Mumbai is dangerous and transfers him to Pune. On the way to Pune, the jeep is attacked and Randeep flees with a bullet wound. He tries to call Rashmi, but her mobile is switched off. He calls her house and finally reaches her. He asks her to remove the SIM from her new phone and meet him in disguise. Rashmi meets Randeep and helps him to remove the bullet and nurses his wound. Randeep then tells him that he has a weapon with him which will startle Shahana.
Rashmi then gets a call from Shahana that Mithoo is dead. She panics and runs away. Swami visits Randeep and offers his help and assures him that he will not turn him in. Rashmi rushes to Shahana's place and realizes that Shahana was lying. She shows Rashmi the letter she gave to the doctor. Shahana threatens to shoot her family. Rashmi begs for another chance. Shahana allows her to leave. Randeep calls her and asks her to come with a camera and today's paper. Randeep pretends to a blind man & Rashmi his nurse and they go to a home. There Randeep introduces Rashmi to Malik, who is alive and in a wheel chair. He then takes a picture of him with the newspaper. The next day, Rashmi shows Malik's photo to Shahana and she is shocked. Rashmi leaves her phone with Shahana and leaves. Randeep and Rashmi then talk about the next step, when they are attacked and they escape narrowly. Randeep then goes to Malik and starts interrogating him. He threatens her with his daughter and also makes him angry. He hurts his ego and Malik starts bragging about 2612, which gives Randeep some pointers. Shahana panics and meets Jadda. He tells her that he knows what she is up to. Shahana points out that he has no proof and he cannot touch her.
When Shahana finds about the attack, she instructs her men not to hurt Rashmi or Randeep. Rashmi gets a ticket from Chief Minister's son for flying with him to Delhi. Shahana decides that she cannot be weak tries to kill off "Malik's photograph", but does not have the strength for it. Tio make his case stronger, Jadda gets Rinky & Suchi to Mumbai. He then tapes Suchi telling Rinky about the bad women who kidnapped her by showing Shahana's photograph. Shahana then meets the CM to ask for a favor and gets invited to a function in STF. She then asks him to help her get her tablets back; he agrees. Shahana then brings Rashmi to STF and introduces her as Shahana & asks for her involvement in the function also. She starts taking Rashmi everywhere to establish the fact that Rashmi is Shahana Malik. Meanwhile, Randeep meets a nuclear scientist to know more about the Nova 6 bombs. After some convincing, the scientist decides to help Randeep. He then tries to hack into Shantanu's code to get more information about the bombs. After 4 unsuccessful attempts, Randeep manages to find the password.
Randeep then calls Swami to talk. Then discuss the current situation and Swami asks Randeep to trust him. He also mentions that he has taken up many personalities to help RAW and he is good at his job. Randeep is still not satisfied. While Swami is leaving, Naani sees him and recognizes him. She then tells Randeep all about it. Then Swami goes to meet Shahana to complete his deal, she reveals that she knows about his "Anand Swami" identity. Randeep also tells him that he now knows that he is Jadda and he does not trust him.
At STF, Shahana finally gets to the store room to look for the tablets. She tells everyone there that it was a donated to her by "Shahana Malik" (Rashmi), the journalist from the neighbors. They start looking for the bag together. At the same time, Randeep connects the detonator to the computer to check it and ends up activating the bomb by accident. The bombs in the bags start to beep and Rashmi realizes the true nature of the tablets. Randeep stops the process and saves the day. Shahana then leaves the bag with Rashmi and leaves. Shahana's driver then takes Rashmi to the airport, so that she can fly with the CM's son to Delhi along with the bag. Meanwhile Randeep gets a call from an informer who tells him the exact location where Rashmi's family is hidden. Randeep drops in and saves them. Shahana arrives shortly and gets furious when she realizes that Randeep freed her prisoners.
When Rashmi reaches the airport, she is detained for questioning on Anand Swami's order. When Anand tries to reach airport to meet Rashmi, he gets called back to office. His boss then shows him the video with Rashmi as Shahana. He tells his boss that its Rashmi & she is innocent. He then asks him to find the detonator. Swami then starts tracking Randeep's location using his mobile phone. The CM's son flies to Delhi without Rashmi, buy with the bag. Randeep then hears about the airport and rushed there, His friend assures him that Rashmi is safe. When Shahana realizes that Rashmi is still in Mumbai, she calls the CM's son and asks him to get Rashmi released. She then drives to the airport and picks up Rashmi before Randeep can get to her. Randeep then calls Shahana to make a deal.
The Finale
Shahana & Randeep meet to make the deal. Randeep asks for Rashmi's release and promises to release Malik. She asks for the detonator also; Randeep refuses. Malik then asks Shahana to free him and says that he will talk to professor about it. Shahana then puts the mission above her love and shoots Malik. She then drives off with Rashmi. Randeep comes home and starts to go over all the facts. He also tries to find the meaning of 2612 and finally figures it out. While working, he puts a cross over Shantanu's name and Ritika sees it. He finally tells her the truth and promises to find Suchi soon. Swami finally locates Randeep's location and visits him. To show that he is trustworthy, he brings Suchi along and the family is re-united. Swami & Randeep then leave. When Swami asks Randeep to surrender and hand over the detonator, he esapes.
Shahana calls the CM and asks him to accommodate "Shahana" in the bus that is taking the under 19 cricket team from Delhi to Mohali. She promises to get "Shahana" in Delhi by 5:00 pm and request him to postpone the bus departure be an hour to 6:00 pm. She starts to talk to herself and mentions a back-up plan. She is still in the possession of one of the tablets. She removes the bomb and puts it in Rashmi's bag. Swami uses the GPS to find the new location of Randeep. Randeep hears a news report mentioning the delay of the bus & that "Shahana Malik" will be traveling with them. Randeep then figures out that Shahana wants Rashmi to be a human bomb. He rushes towards the airport.
Shahana asks Rashmi to dress up and takes her to the airport. She also gives her a bag to take with her. On their way, Randeep stops them and starts to fire. He finally manages to rescue and bring Rashmi to his side. Most of Shahana's men are dead, but Randeep runs out of bullets. Anand Swami shows up and points a gun to Randeep. Randeep then remarks that he has finally shown his true colors. Swami smiles and then shoots Shahana's last goon. Shahana gets furious and starts to attack. Randeep escapes with Rashmi. Shahana injures Swami and starts to follow them.
Finally Shahana corners Randeep & Rashmi on a bridge. Rashmi gets hurt & falls unconscious. Shanaha then asks Randeep to hand over the detonator. He refuses and tells her that he would rather die. She shoots Randeep on his knee to scare him. The sound wakes up Rashmi and she sees a gun near her. She picks it up and points at Shahana. Shahana mocks her and tells her that she is just a school teacher. She finally shoots Shahana and she falls into the river. Rashmi hugs Randeep and then faints.

2613 is the sequel to 2612, that started airing on 25 March 2013 at 9 pm Mon–Fri on Life OK. Post Shahana's death, Rashmi starts a new life. However she comes across an intelligence agency (SIU) in need of a citizen, who can help them fight terrorism. Will Rashmi join?
