23880 Tongil (1998 SG5) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on September 18, 1998 by Lee Tae-hyeong in Yeoncheon, South Korea. It is the first minor planet found by a Korean astronomer.[1][2] Tongil is a Korean word for unification, and this name may imply Korean reunification.
