23244 Lafayette (provisional designation: 2000 WP162) is a main-belt minor planet. It was discovered through the Lowell Observatory Near-Earth-Object Search at the Anderson Mesa Station in Coconino County, Arizona, on November 20, 2000. It is named after Gilbert du Motier, marquis de Lafayette, a French military officer of both the American and French Revolutions.
