The 22nd Infantry Battalion (Cadre),[1] known officially as 22nd Cadre Battalion, is one of the battalions of the Philippine Army, which is organic to the 903rd Infantry Brigade of the 9th Infantry "Spear" Division. It is an infantry unit, and is one of the CAFGU units of the Philippine Army.[1]
The 22IB(C) specializes in Counter-insurgency Operations, Jungle warfare as well as CMO and co-operations.
The unit is primarily composed of CAFGU militiamen supervised by Philippine Army Regular Commissioned Officers and Non-commissioned officers.[1]
