2213 Meeus (1935 SO1) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on September 24, 1935 by E. Delporte at Uccle. It was named for Belgian Astronomer Jean Meeus in 1981 by the International Astronomical Union for his contributions to astronomy particularly in celestial mechanics.[1]
