2020Health
2020Health is a British independent think tank based in Westminster, founded in 2006 by Julia Manning, a former NHS optometrist who had specialised in working with the elderly, disabled and mentally ill. Manning was also formerly a Director of the UK Institute of Optometry, a member of Lambeth PCT Professional Executive Committee, a blogger for the Daily Mail[1] for two years and in 2005 was a Conservative candidate for the Bristol East constituency in the general election.[2]
2020Health seeks to create a healthy society through insight into the NHS and determinants of health, aiming to shape policy through presenting the evidence and implementation plans for improvement. It does this through research publications, discussion round-tables and public events. It has received attention in the BBC,[3] the Guardian,[4] the Telegraph,[5] the Sun,[6] the Daily Mail,[7] E-Health Insider[8] as well as many other health and technology industry publications.
