The 2015 OFC Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament is the football competition played by member nations of the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) for qualifying to the 2016 Summer Olympics women's tournament. It is the fourth edition of the OFC Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament.
The qualifying consists of two stages. The first stage is held as part of the Pacific Games, while the second stage is a two-legged play-off between the first stage winner and New Zealand, OFC's highest ranked team in the FIFA Women's World Rankings. The winner of the second stage will qualify for the women's football tournament at the 2016 Summer Olympics.[1]
Participating teams
So far only New Zealand is confirmed.
First stage
Like in the last two editions, the Oceania Football Confederation does not organise a separate qualifying, but uses the 2015 Pacific Games women's football tournament as a qualifier. The Pacific Games women's football tournament is scheduled to be played in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea from 4 to 18 July 2015.[2] The winner of that tournament advances to Stage 2, the final play-off against New Zealand.[3]
Final stage
New Zealand plays the stage 1 winner over two legs. The winner qualifies for the 2016 Summer Olympics.
