The 2015 FIBA Americas Championship for Men will be the qualifying tournament for FIBA Americas at the 2016 Summer Olympics Basketball Tournament in Brazil. The tournament will be held in Monterrey, Mexico. The top two teams qualify for the 2016 Summer Olympics Basketball Tournament.

Qualification

Host selection

On 7 August 2014 at the day of the 2014 Centrobasket final, FIBA Americas announced that Mexico was chosen as the host of the championship. Mexico was chosen over Brazil and Venezuela. Monterrey Arena shall be the arena of the tournament.[1]

Draw

The draw was held in Museum of Steel, Fundidora Park, Monterrey, Nuevo Leon on 25 March.[2] This was how the teams were seeded:
