The tournament will be hosted by the United States and take place between 1–13 October 2015.[1]

A total of eight teams will play in the tournament. The three teams from the North American Zone (NAFU) (Canada, Mexico and the United States) qualify directly for the final tournament, while three teams from the Central American Zone (UNCAF) and two teams from the Caribbean Zone (CFU) qualify for final tournament via their respective regional qualification tournaments.

The top two teams are guaranteed to qualify for the men's football tournament at the 2016 Summer Olympics. The third-placed team will advance to the CONCACAF–CONMEBOL play-off where they will play against a representative from CONMEBOL, which will be the Colombia, the 2015 South American Youth Football Championship runner-up.[2]
