The 2015–16 KHL season will be the eight season of the Kontinental Hockey League. The season will start on the 24th of August with the Opening Cup between defending champions SKA Saint Petersburg and finalists Ak Bars Kazan.[1]
Team changes
It is likely that Spartak Moscow will return to the league prior to this season.[2]
