2013 CRPF camp attack at Bemina

On 13 March 2013, militants belonging to Hizbul Mujahideen carried out an attack on a Central Reserve Police Force camp in Bemina. Five CRPF men and two militants were killed in this attack.[1]

Attack

The attack took place at about 11 AM in the morning on 13 March 2013. The two suicide bombers entered the ground of police public school and opened indiscriminate firing on a CRPF camp,[2][3] leaving 5 security personnel of CRPF dead and seven injured along with civilians. The 2 militants were later killed.[4]

Aftermath

The terrorist group Hizbul Mujahideen claimed responsibility for the attack.[1] Later some security personnel moved to Sher e Kashmir Institute of Medical Science (SKIMS) to donate blood for victims of attack. On their return they faced an attack of some miscreants. Forces in their defence opened fire on people injuring many and leaving Altaf Ahmad Wani dead.[5][6][7]
