The 2012-13 Xavier Musketeers men's basketball basketball team represented Xavier University during the 2012-13 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was coached by Chris Mack. The Musketeers competed in the Atlantic 10 Conference and played their home games at the Cintas Center. They finished the season 17–14, 9–7 in A-10 play to finish in a tie for sixth place. They lost in the first round of the Atlantic 10 Tournament to St. Joseph's. They did not participate in a post season tournament.

This was Xavier's last season as a member of the A-10 as they will join the so-called Catholic 7 in the new incarnation of the Big East Conference in July, 2013.

Previous season/expectations

Xavier went 23-13 in 2011-12 and made the Sweet 16 for the fourth time in five years. At the 2012 Atlantic Media Day, the Musketeers were picked by other Atlantic 10 coaches to finish ninth in the league standings.[1]
