The 2010 New Zealand National Basketball League was the 29th season of the New Zealand NBL. In the 90-game regular season (18 games for each of the ten teams) began on Thursday, 4 March and concluded on Friday, 19 June 2010.
The playoffs began on Tuesday, 22 June, with the Wellington Saints eventually winning the season after a three match finals series with the Waikato Pistons. Wellington Saints player Lindsay Tait was later recognised as the most valuable player throughout the season.
The Southland Sharks begun their first season in the competition and the Otago Nuggets returned after a one-year absence. The Auckland Stars were suspended from the 2010 competition due to financial problems the club had experienced, resulting in all the Stars players becoming free agents.
