The 2009 New Zealand National Basketball League was the 28th season of the New Zealand NBL.
The top two teams of the regular season, the Waikato Pistons and Nelson Giants made the semi-finals, along with Wellington and Christchurch. Waikato and Nelson went on to face each other in the final, with Waikato becoming the 2009 NBL Championship winner.[1]
