The 2008–09 Texas Longhorns men's basketball team will represent the University of Texas in the 2008-09 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Head Coach is Rick Barnes, who will be serving his 11th year. The team will be playing its home games in the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, TX. They are a 7th seed in the East Region (in the 2009 NCAA playoffs) and are paired (in the first round) against Minnesota.
