The 1st Davao Del Norte Infantry Battalion (Ready Reserve),[1][2] known officially as 1st Davao Del Norte Infantry Battalion (Ready Reserve), is one of the battalions of the Philippine Army Reserve Command, which is organic to the 2202nd Infantry Brigade (Ready Reserve) of the 22nd Infantry Division (Ready Reserve). It is an infantry unit, and specializes in Low-land Operations, disaster relief, and Civil Military Operations.
The unit was awarded AFP Reserve Unit of the Year 2011 (Battalion Level) by the AFP Chief of Staff during the celebration of National Reservist Week in Camp Aguinaldo.
Mission
- Base for expansion of the Regular Force in the event of war, invasion or rebellion within its AOP.[3]
- Assist the Government in Relief and Rescue Operations in the event of Calamities or Disasters.[4]
- Assist the Government in Socio-economic development and environmental concerns.[5]
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of essential government and private utilities (e.g. power, telecommunications, water).[3]
