The 1st Civil Military Affairs Group, known officially as CMAG NCR, is one of seven Civil Affairs units of the Civil Military Affairs Brigade (Reserve) of the AFP Reserve Command, and is based in Quezon City. The unit provides CMO and CIMIC support to regular units operating under the AFP Joint Task Force-National Capital Region and reserve units within the National Capital Region.
The AOR of the 1st Civil Military Affairs Group covers the entire Metro Manila area.
Mission
- Base for expansion of the Regular Force in the event of war, invasion or rebellion within its AOP.
- Assist the Government in Relief and Rescue Operations in the event of Calamities or Disasters.[1]
- Assist the Government in Socio-economic development and environmental concerns.[2]
- Assist in the operation & maintenance of essential government and private utilities (e.g. power, telecommunications, water).
