The 1995-96 National Hurling League was the 65th edition of the National Hurling League, which ran from 7 October 1995 until 12 May 1996.
The eight participating teams in Division 1 were Clare, Cork, Galway, Kerry, Kilkenny, Offaly, Tipperary and Waterford who agreed to play a seven game format whereby each team would play each of their seven rivals once with two points awarded for a win and one point awarded for a drawn game.
Galway defeated Tipperary by 2-10 to 2-8 in the final.[1]
