1993 English cricket season
The 1993 English cricket season saw the dramatic arrival on the scene of Shane Warne and his incredible "Gatting Ball". Australia, led by Allan Border, now had a very strong team and won the Ashes with plenty to spare.
Mike Gatting was happier on the domestic scene as he led Middlesex CCC to another County Championship.
