New Uniforms

The Denver Nuggets and Milwaukee Bucks made major changes to their uniform set. The Bucks adapted about the same color scheme as the Colorado Rockies baseball team, except that hunter green is used instead of black, while their uniforms feature taller B's and S's on the home and road jerseys. The Nuggets switched to a more styled typeface script to go along with their new uniforms. The Dallas Mavericks switched back to blue road uniforms for the first time since 1981.

Playoffs

Teams in bold advanced to the next round. The numbers to the left of each team indicate the team's seeding in its conference, and the numbers to the right indicate the number of games the team won in that round. The division champions are marked by an asterisk. Home court advantage does not necessarily belong to the higher-seeded team, but instead the team with the better regular season record; teams enjoying the home advantage are shown in italics.
