The 1981 NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championship was the inaugural organized women's collegiate field hockey tournament by the National Collegiate Athletic Association, to determine the top college field hockey team in the United States. The Connecticut Huskies won the first championship, defeating the Massachusetts Minutewomen in the final.[1]
