The 1971–72 All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship was the second since its establishment the previous year. The championship was organised on a county basis, with champion clubs representing each county. The first matches of the season were played in the winter of 1970 and the championship ended on 14 May 1972.
The championship culminated with the very first All-Ireland club final, held at Walsh Park, Waterford. The match was contested by Blackrock of Cork and Rathnure of Wexford. Blackrock won the game by 5–13 to 6–9. It was their very first All-Ireland title.
