Manufacturers Championship
Championship points were awarded for the first six positions in each race in the order of 8-6-4-3-2-1, excepting the RAC Tourist Trophy, for which points were awarded on a 4-3-2-1 for the first 4 positions.[2] A manufacturer was only awarded points for its best placed car [2] and no points were awarded for places occupied by other finishers from the same manufacturer. Only the best 4 results for each manufacturer were counted towards the championship totals.[3] Discarded points are shown in the following table within brackets.
