The 1956 Professional Matchplay Championship was a snooker tournament held at the Tower Circus in Blackpool, England.[1]
Fred Davis won his eighth and last World title by defeating John Pulman in the final.[1] Rex Williams made the highest break of the tournament with 141.[2]
