The 1936 Pittsburgh Pirates season was the team's 4th season as a professional sports franchise and as a member of the National Football League (NFL). It was the second season under head coach Joe Bach; this was his last season as head coach until the 1952–53 season. This was the first season that the Pirates finished with a .500 record at 6–6, and finished 2nd in the Eastern division, their highest placement in team history. The team did not qualify for the NFL Championship game.

The Pirates played all of their home games at Forbes Field in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, except for one that was played at Point Stadium in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
