Season 1924–25 was the 48th season in which Dumbarton competed at a Scottish national level, entering the Scottish Football League for the 26th time and the Scottish Cup for the 37th time.
Overview
Dumbarton finished 8th, out of 20, in the Second Division with 40 points - 10 behind champions Dundee United.[1] In addition, Dumbarton were knocked out in the second round of the Scottish Cup by Falkirk.
Locally, Dumbarton were runners-up in both the Dumbartonshire Cup and the Dumbartonshire Charity Cup.
